I love Mezgike's sculpts - lots of excellent Orky goodness. However he also has these soggy lads that I found strangely compelling. They're a bit like if Space Marines got the Flying Dutchman treatment (as in Pirates of the Caribbean). Before my daughter was born I printed out almost the entire range and slapchop prepped them, so that I'd have things to paint for the foreseeable future but wouldn't need to have resin kicking about around my baby.

This might sound optimistic but I've genuinely painted a lot of the army. There's loads left to do, and a Chaos Knight occasionally makes meaningful eye contact, but it's not stopped being fun yet.

Part of the motivation for doing this is to eventually field the force in 40K. No idea if I ever actually will, but it serves as a framework of sorts, and that helps. I've fielded them in Kill Team anyway!

Anyway, many of the units have 40K equivalents. Some do not, and there are gaps based around the more daemonic options for the Death Guard. Also some stuff has been removed from the Death Guard in the time the range has been created. As a fellow creator of proxies, yep, relatable. More poor big mek on a bike!
